What JamCams.co.uk Offers
Our Mission: Free Traffic Intelligence for Every Londoner
JamCams.co.uk was built with one goal: to make Transport for London's extensive CCTV traffic camera network accessible to everyone, for free, without fuss. Whether you're a daily commuter checking conditions before leaving home, a professional driver planning the most efficient route across the capital, or a logistics manager monitoring key corridors — JamCams.co.uk gives you the real-time visual intelligence you need.
Powered by TfL Open Data
All camera feeds and road disruption data on JamCams.co.uk are sourced directly from Transport for London's Open Data API — the same authoritative data source used by professional traffic management centres and navigation apps across the UK. TfL's JamCam network is the largest urban traffic camera system in the United Kingdom, with strategically positioned cameras covering motorways, A-roads, tunnels, bridges, and key junctions throughout Greater London.
We process and present this data in a clean, fast, mobile-friendly interface so you can find the cameras that matter to your journey in seconds. Camera images refresh every 5 minutes; our road disruption data refreshes every 2 minutes.
Privacy-First by Design
JamCams.co.uk operates without any server-side user databases. We don't ask you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personal information. Your camera favourites and location preferences are stored entirely within your own browser's local storage — they stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
When you grant location permission, your device coordinates are used exclusively within your browser to sort cameras by proximity. We never log or store your location on our servers.
Supported by Advertising
JamCams.co.uk is a free service supported by display advertising via Google AdSense. Advertising revenue enables us to cover hosting costs and continue developing the service. We have carefully placed ad units to ensure they do not interfere with your ability to access the traffic camera feeds you need. If you have questions about our advertising practices, please see our Privacy Policy.
